The Mama Bear Program (US & Canada) and Vatsalya Program (India) equips TEKsystems mothers (and soon-to-be TEK moms) with a support structure as they go through journeys of becoming a working parent and/or navigating through unique circumstances in their parenthood journey. We offer two different types of mentorship connections for our TEK moms: New Mama Mentorship Connections and Customized Mentorship Connections.
- New Mama Mentorships: The standard connection plan duration is a 12 month long commitment for US moms and 12-18 months+ for Canadian Moms (based on Mat leave duration). This type of connection provides support to expecting moms while planning for maternity leave, during maternity leave if desired, and then the first 3-6 months upon returning to work from leave. The time commitment expectation is 30-minute monthly meeting with your mentor/mentee, or more if desired by the mentee, throughout the duration of your mentorship connection.
- Customized Mentorships: The connection plan duration is a 6 month long commitment where you can find support from another mom that has experienced similar unique parenting circumstances that may include a variety of topics such as: Single Parenting, Blended Families, Adoption, Foster Parenting, Infertility and/or IVF, Miscarriage & Infant Loss Support, Parenting in the LGBTQ+ Community, and more. - If you are in the "new parent" stage of life seeking a mentor, you're a "seasoned dad" ready to provide support to a mentee, or you're just looking to connect with another TEK dad for support around similar unique parenting circumstances such as: Single Parenting, Blended Families, Adoption, Foster Parenting, Infertility and/or IVF, Miscarriage & Infant Loss Support, Parenting in the LGBTQ+ Community, and more; our Papa Bear program will provide you the support you desire as a TEKsystems dad.
*For our Mama Bear, Vatsalya, and Papa Bear Programs, you will be prompted to complete a few short surveys throughout your mentorship connection as we seek to gather feedback in efforts to constantly improve and evolve our mentorship programs along with our company provided resources and support you receive throughout your journey as a TEKsystems parent.
We know the daily constant juggle you experience as a working parent and we are so grateful you are here. We're excited for you to join our Mama Bear and Papa Bear Mentorship Programs!
